TLDR

Built a dashboard in Tableau to visualize scheduling and payroll data for C19 Testing LLC, giving leadership a centralized view of how the company's workforce and financial capacity were evolving over time. Reduced manual data input time by 80% and held training workshops to ensure strong data hygiene across the team.

Context

I approached the CEO of C19 Testing LLC, a company that set up free COVID testing stations across Los Angeles. She shared that she was manually entering scheduling and payroll data for roughly 8 hours every day. I told her I could automate that process using Python scripts, which would free her time and give leadership a reliable and current view of the company's operations.

Process

I began by mapping out the key metrics leadership needed to track, starting with employee headcount, scheduling patterns, and payroll trends. I wrote Python scripts to automate the data entry and transformation that had previously required hours of manual work each day. Once the data pipeline was in place, I designed the visual layout in Tableau with the end user in mind, building charts and filters that allowed executives to explore the data without needing technical expertise.

Outcome

The automation reduced manual data input time by 80%, giving the CEO back the majority of hours she had previously spent on data entry. The dashboard became a centralized resource for the executive team, offering a real time view of how workforce expansion was tracking against the company's financial and operational goals. I also held several workshops to train the team on the new system, ensuring strong data hygiene practices would be maintained long after implementation.
